Florida is a no fault car insurance state. Meaning, if you are in a wreck and injured each driver settles with their own insurance coverage for compensation. There are exceptions to this law. It is possible to hold a driver accountable if you sustained serious injuries from the accident. All liability claims must be filed within the statute of limitation, which is four years in Florida. If you or a loved one have sustained a serious injury because of another person’s negligence contact a car accident attorney to see if you have a case.
